About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to provide clinical support to assist the Allied Health team in the provision of effective and confidential, patient care services across Allied Health and its environments, including the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services, surgical inpatients and outpatient services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values as well as the department's quality human resource management practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and ethical behaviour.
  • Represent the STARS clinical assistant workforce at the Metro North Allied Health Assistant Committee as required; represent the speech pathology clinical assistants at the STARS Allied Health Assistant Committee.
  • Maintain relevant clinical documentation and collection of statistics in accordance with organisational guidelines.
  • Provide advice to supervisors and other stakeholders regarding workforce issues and service development to enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes.
  • Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments and interventions for patients of the allied health service, as delegated by a relevant allied health professional.
