Your opportunity

SWHHS allied health services are based out of the hospitals in Roma, St George, and Charleville. The occupational therapist works within the Primary and Community Care division in the St George Community and Allied Health Team. You will work within the multidisciplinary team to provide high level, responsive, and flexible occupational therapy clinical services in acute, sub-acute, aged care, community, and outreach facility settings with only occasional clinical/professional supervision. The position provides clinical leadership within the team and operates with a high level of independence with clinical conditions and services of complex and varied nature.

Occupational therapists within allied health, work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with the Clinical Prioritisation Document.

Staff may be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within the SWHHS as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff.

The occupational therapist working in St George reports operationally to the Service Director in the St George Community and Allied Health Team.
