Your opportunity

The Nurse Educator Midwife is a senior level clinician who is responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise and advanced nursing midwifery practice level, supporting nursing midwifery workforce development and growth through co-ordination, development, and delivery of best practice education services.

This role will support an appropriately skilled workforce to deliver evidenced based person-centred care.

As a nurse educator midwife you will demonstrate a specialised expertise and/or skill set in the provisions of  midwifery care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, innovative educational preparation and delivery, relevant legislation and context of rural and remote midwifery nursing.

The position sits within the People and Culture Team and facilitates opportunities for learning and development via innovation of the design, implementation and evaluation of education programs and the efficient management of education resources.

The Nurse Educator Midwife reports to the Nursing Director Education, Learning and Development with professional links to service leads.
