Your opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for the provision of quality specialist community-based child and youth mental health assessment, treatment, intervention and education to children and youth (to the age of 18) who have mental health issues that are impacting on their lives and the lives of those around them.
Working in a rural and remote setting, you will provide mental health outreach services to Charleville and surrounding areas within the South West Hospital and Health Service in keeping with national and state standards and requirements. High levels of engagement with community and non-government services are an important component of the role. Familiarity and ability to develop high levels of proficiency with digital health solutions will also be required.
You will receive professional support and supervision through agreed processes including peer and discipline specific supervision.
You will be assisting a senior clinician with a portfolio focusing on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research and progressively assume responsibility for professional leadership on the service by applying critical thinking across all practice domains.

NURSING ONLY - Charleville is a designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) site in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015. This attracts additional entitlements which may include:
- An annual isolation bonus paid annually!
- Return airfares to the nearest provincial city in conjunction with leave!
- Additional annual leave per annum!
