Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander graduate midwife, or early in your career, looking for meaningful work and a strong start? We're offering an exciting opportunity to provide culturally safe, woman-centred care in Weipa – a vibrant, close-knit community on the western coast of Cape York.
About the Role
This is more than a job – it's a unique chance to grow professionally while supporting women and families. You'll be part of a passionate team delivering care to women in Weipa and surrounding communities, including outreach services to remote areas. This role is an exciting opportunity to transition to caseload continuity of care for a midwife (Identified) wanting to move into this practice context as a recent graduate in a structured and supportive environment.
The role enables you to care for an allocated caseload of women, with the support and collaboration of other health care providers within the Midwifery Group Practice and Maternity service at the Weipa Integrated Health Service and the surrounding remote communities.
