Ready for a meaningful role that starts with a yarn? Abby Conry, 0427 645 437 would love to hear your story and answer any question you may have about the role.

Are you ready to take your nursing career to one of the most unique and culturally rich parts of Australia?

We're looking for two passionate Clinical Nurses to join our team in Bamaga, located at the tip of Cape York Peninsula. This is not your average nursing job – it's an opportunity to work at the frontline of remote healthcare, make a meaningful contribution every day, and immerse yourself in the culture of the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula communities.

🌴 Why Bamaga?

Bamaga is a remote community surrounded by pristine beaches, tropical bushland, and access to some of the most spectacular islands in the Torres Strait. While the location comes with challenges – including geographic isolation and limited amenities – it also offers an incredible lifestyle for those craving adventure, connection, and purpose.

  • Gateway to the Torres Strait Islands
  • Community-focused, culturally rich environment
  • Incredible fishing, camping, and outdoor lifestyle
  • Experience full-scope nursing

This is a challenging but deeply rewarding role that requires flexibility, resilience, and a strong commitment to remote health.

Torres and Cape will give you a career with purpose, plus excellent benefits and allowances;

  • Base salary comprising between $107,960.00 - $115,604.00 per annum – you may be eligible for additional benefits – refer to Workplace benefits | Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service
  • Competitive salary packaging: Generous employer superannuation contribution of 12.75% and salary packaging options Salary and benefits | Careers (health.qld.gov.au)
  • Generous leave entitlements including 17.5% loading on annual leave
  • Professional Development: Our training is recognised as some of the best in the world
  • Relocation and accommodation incentives
  • Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package

Living within the Torres and Cape region means you will be able to enjoy:

  • Immersing yourself in nature, from the outback to tropical rainforests, coral reefs and extraordinary landscapes.
  • Short commute to work, allowing greater work/life balance
  • Rich Indigenous Culture
