Tell me more...Join the Torres and Cape Mental Health and AOD Service as a collaborative team member who will provide culturally appropriate interventions, education, and advice focused on the social and cultural needs of Indigenous people in mental health and AOD assessment and treatment. Maintain accountability and deliver quality care within the Health Worker Scope of Practice.

Identified Role: Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

  • An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a person who:
    • identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and either
    • is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
    • is accepted as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community in which he or she lives.
