As our highly valued Senior Governance Officer, you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners. You will do this with people who want you to grow and progress.

Reporting to the Principal, Corporate Governance Officer, you will have the opportunity to lead the coordination of activities to ensure compliance with legislation, policy, risk management and integrity activities, including the analysis and reporting requirements for fraud and corruption prevention, gifts and benefits, lobbyists and a program cycle for the agency's business continuity planning. Your role is also responsible for overseeing the audit plans and recommendations for Internal and External Audit, supporting the Secretariat function for the TIQ Board, Audit, Finance and Risk Management Committee (AFRMC) and First Nations Advisory Committee.

Based in Brisbane, here's what your role will involve:

  • Provide professional advice and recommendations on the application of governance, risk and compliance, corporate secretariat coordination, relevant reporting, methodologies and tools that align with best practice.
  • Manage TIQ's Policy management framework including monitoring policies for review, maintaining delegation schedules and alignment with global compliance obligations.
  • Facilitate the development of risk registers including assessments on appropriate systems and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and governance requirements across both the strategic and operational risks, including the Queensland Protective Security Framework
  • Manage the day-to day work outputs associated with the business units including essential governance, risk and compliance functions, business continuity matters, planning, evaluation and reporting associated with TIQ Board, AFRMC and First Nations Advisory Committee reporting requirements.

Support all operational reporting requirements for the agency's integrated governance, risk and compliance model to ensure that TIQ meets its accountability, operational and key legislative imperatives including Right to Information, and Information Privacy.
