As the Director, Investment, you'll develop innovative plans for interesting projects as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with people who you're proud to work with and want you to thrive. To be successful in this role, you will:

Leadership and Management and Culture

  • Support the Global Investment Commissioner to lead and manage the GIA team, including providing direction across a diverse range of industry sectors and investment projects.
  • Strategically lead cross-sector investment initiatives aligned with the Queensland Trade andInvestment Strategy 2022-2032, leveraging global trends and sectoral insights to drive high-impacteconomic outcomes for Queensland.
  • Provide authentic leadership that positively influences, supports, builds and nurtures relationships.
  • Set the strategic direction of the GIA team in line with TIQ's key performance indicators (KPI's),fostering an environment which values performance, collaboration and client service.
  • Proactively mentor the team to create a high performing and supportive working environment thatkeeps abreast of current trends, policies and emerging opportunities.
  • Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, in developing an inclusive, diverse andcollaborative culture at TIQ.
  • Effectively lead the management of the workforce and workload planning, to ensure recruitment,performance management and learning and development processes are in place to reflectorganisational priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices and cultural capability, including respectfulengagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and diverse communities.

Program Management (Investment Attraction)

  • Provide recommendations and monitor KPI's to support commercial investment outcomes and toeffectively realise benefits from the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2022-2032.
  • Engage with overseas investors to provide advice on current and proposed investment projects toachieve successful investment outcomes.
  • In conjunction with TIQ's international offices, contribute to overseas market analysis and advice oncurrent and proposed target investors.
  • Work collaboratively with TIQ's international offices, Queensland operations and across governmentto coordinate international efforts in investment attraction, reinvestment and aftercare.
  • Manage risk and ensure appropriate governance is applied, ensuring all GIA activities are withinpolicy and procedure and that GIA's budget is monitored and managed.
  • Lead by example, leveraging your strong networks and track record of investment facilitation todirectly contribute to the team's pipeline and outcomes.
  • Initiate, oversee and develop formal TIQ investment related responses, briefing notes, reports,presentations, and correspondence (including Ministerial) and manage approvals.
  • Provide tailored investment readiness support to proponents, including strategic guidance onbusiness case development, investment pitches, and navigating regulatory pathways to accelerateproject delivery.
  • Collaborate across TIQ and Queensland Government to identify Queensland's investmentopportunities.
