As the Senior Information Management Officer, you will be responsible for driving the successful design, delivery, and use of TIQ's information management assets, while coordinating the delivery of information architecture across current and future systems to ensure the maturity of TIQ's records, documents and knowledge management capabilities continues. You will develop strategies and techniques to enhance and maintain TIQ's electronic document management systems (eDRMS). This will include providing education, training programs and awareness of information management systems, domestic and international information legislation and frameworks and developing policies, procedures, and guidelines for users.

You will play a key role in contributing to the ICT business plan and strategic direction of TIQ and its business outcomes, through contributing to the continual improvement and delivery of the TIQ Information, Communications and Technology Strategy and strengthening the foundations of data driven decision making processes critical to TIQ.

Based in Brisbane, here's what your role will involve:

  • Evaluate TIQ's global information management systems and provide strategic advice to the CIO and Senior Executive Team to enhance recordkeeping practices.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of information management approaches, recommending improvements to boost productivity, compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to system design and development by ensuring recordkeeping requirements align with business priorities and government standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to raise staff awareness and understanding of information management systems and frameworks.
  • Identify and implement business process improvements to promote effective information use across the organisation.
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures, and initiatives to address emerging issues, support compliance, and manage information-related risks.
  • Prepare business cases, reports, and briefings to support and promote the Information, Communications and Technology Strategy, with a focus on information management.
  • Support organisational change through the promotion and adoption of electronic workflows aligned with the information management framework.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term strategic and operational goals.
  • Establish effective communication and engagement strategies across cultural and sectoral boundaries to ensure stakeholder collaboration and support.
