As the Principal Insights Officer, you will be responsible for developing actionable, strategic insights to inform TIQ's internal and external stakeholders about macroeconomic, geopolitical, technological, policy/regulatory and other global changes. As a trusted partner, you will provide value-added strategic advice and insights to support the delivery of TIQ's strategic priorities, while working with stakeholders to research and identify data-driven tactical opportunities for operational teams to pursue.

Based in Brisbane, here's what your role will involve:

  • Undertake complex research and data analysis on trade, economic, policy, and statistical issues at state, national, and global levels.
  • Develop tailored, actionable strategic insights using both human expertise and AI-driven sources to support TIQ's objectives.
  • Identify data-driven tactical opportunities to support client engagement and trade and investment outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings, presentations, and submissions for diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests with clear, strategic advice that informs business decisions.
  • Contribute to or lead projects aligned with TIQ's strategic direction, including market strategies and capability building (e.g. AI uplift).
  • Support the development of standardised tools and methodologies for analysis and critical thinking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across TIQ, government agencies, and external partners to support collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively across cultures and sectors, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent TIQ in inter-departmental and industry forums, and participate in key government and business events.
