Reporting to the General Manager, QLD Operations, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team that fosters future industry development and growth by leveraging partnerships and investment to commercialise local knowledge and traditional strengths across priority industries.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team within QLD Operations, you will be responsible for delivering the strategic and operational services and outcomes of the Advisory Services and Regions across a truly global public sector organisation. You will be required to lead, manage, coach and guide the team to deliver sector specific strategies aligned to the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2022-32 and work across boundaries to deliver organisational outcomes.
As the Director, Trade Services, Food & Agribusiness, you'll develop innovative plans for interesting projects as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with people who you're proud to work with and want you to thrive. You will provide authentic leadership that positively influences, supports, builds and nurtures relationships, whilst guiding and developing diverse and/or isolated teams aligned to the strategy direction and values of TIQ.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Thinks strategically, whole of organisation focus and considers long terms goals, whilst also understanding the current environment and drivers of priority sectors, markets and regional complexities.
- Demonstrated ability to positively lead, manage and develop a collaborative team with a focus on trade and investment facilitation.
- Experience in building team capability, and an innovative, and positive culture, while inspiring individuals and team commitments to achieve results in a client facing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and implement change in a client facing environment.
- Possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills and has a high level of resilience while operating in a high-pressured environment with competing priorities.
