About the opportunity:

Position: Operational Service Officer

Vacancy: Casual (10 positions available)

Location: Charters Towers

This position is casual and could be based within Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility or Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit; there will be a requirement to work in the areas of Food Handling, and Cleaning Services.

NB: From time to time this position may be required to travel to and work at other facilities located within the RHSG network in order to participate in quality, training or outreach services. This may involve day and or overnight stays. Advanced notice of this travel will be communicated the successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.

Enjoy a generous casual rate of $39.05 to $41.66 p.h. + 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation (OO2)

Requirements:

• Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
• National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).
• This position requires the incumbent to operate a “C” class vehicle, and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
• The roster may involve day, afternoon and weekend coverage.
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
