About the opportunity:
Position: Diet Assistant
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary full-time, 1 x 12 months commencing April 2025 + 1 x 12 months commencing March 2025 with possible extensions not exceeding 2 years.
Location: Food Services, Facilities, Infrastructure and Support Services, Townville University Hospital.
The Food Services Department Diet Assistant supports the provision of nutritional care for patients at the Townsville Hospital through duties related to the menu selection and completion and the monitoring of nutrition in accordance with prescribed guidelines and established procedures.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $82,130 p.a., including:
- Salary range: $68,471 to $71,983 p.a. (CA3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
- While not mandatory, a Certificate III Health Assistant (Nutrition and Dietetic Support) or Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant would be well regarded.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
