Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island; operating 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
The North Ward Community Care Team provides a range of services to consumers in the short, medium and long term. These include, individual treatment programs, family interventions, individual and group therapy, psychology services, psychiatric outpatient clinics and case management.

About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse Consultant
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: North Ward Community Care Team, North Ward Townsville
Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $164,696 p.a., including:
- Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position.
- Highly desirable:
- Possession of relevant post- registration and/or tertiary qualification in mental health nursing would be well regarded for a position at this level.
- While not mandatory credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses would be well regarded.
- Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under Mental Health Act 2000 would be well regarded.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
