We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
The Community Care Team provides a range of services to consumers in the short, medium and long term. These include: Individual treatment programs, family interventions, individual and group therapy, psychology services, psychiatric outpatient clinics and case management.

About the opportunity
Position: Clinical Nurse
Vacancy: Permanent Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
Location: Community Care Team, Townsville
What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $132,289 p.a.
- Salary range: $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1).
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

About the role
The Community Mental Health Service provides community-based assessment and treatment using case management in the context of a multi-disciplinary team, for people with moderate to severe mental health problems.
The Clinical Nurse participates as a member of the Mental Health Team in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case management, intervention or group work as required within a multidisciplinary framework. The position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care using appropriate outcome and data measurement systems.
Role requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
Highly desirable
- Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
- Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing.
