About the opportunity
Position:
Physiotherapist - Senior (Pelvic Health)
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Full-time from 30/6/2025 up to 30/06/2026 (with the possibility of extension for an additional 12 months)
Location: Physiotherapist Department, Townsville University Hospital

Remuneration package of up to $157,360 p.a.

  • Salary range: $128,169 - $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About the role

  • Deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services including assessment and examination, treatment, physiotherapy diagnosis and prognosis, case management and discharge planning for patients with complex conditions referred to the Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service (WMPH). The clinical caseload includes adult gynaecology/urogynaecology, Obstetric, urology and colorectal patients both male and female.
  • Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
  • Undertake high level physiotherapy duties within the WMPH Physiotherapy Service with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.

Role requirements

  • Possession of a qualification in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration, or eligibility for current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
