  • Salary range: $132,562 to $143,924 p.a.
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides advanced clinical expertise and decision making within a correctional environment. The role provides professional and clinical leadership support, mentorship and guidance to nurses, medical officers, nursing students and the multidisciplinary team. The specific role of the CNC - Clinical and System Improvement is to visibly project manage the required changes and support staff / industrial expectations in the change management processes to achieve organisational objectives.

Prison Health Services operates between the Townsville Men's Correctional Centre and Townsville Women's Correctional Centre. The service provides primary health care to the patients within the prison setting. Responsibilities include medication administration, health education, chronic disease case management, responding to emergencies and working within a multidisciplinary team to provide equitable and safe care.
