About the work unit
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service is preparing to commence rural Computed Tomography (CT) services. The Senior Allied Health Project Officer will use high-level health-industry knowledge and skills that supports project initiation, development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies to plan and deliver key aspects of these new services.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 p.f. (HP4)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Key objectives of the role include:
- Developing and operationalising a rural CT service implementation plan.
- Developing and implementing a training plan to support the rural CT service.
- Developing and operationalising a work model for rural medical imaging services supported by both new and existing onsite clinicians and clinical support functions, and a hub-and-spoke model supported by Townsville University Hospital Medical Imaging Department
- Supporting recruitment processes across a range of roles.
- Establishing Medical Imaging Assistant roles with Licenced Operator (XO) capabilities in CT services.
- Supporting coordination and change management associated with new CT services across service groups/ divisions.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Medical Imaging from a recognised tertiary institution which will allow registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Possession of a current “Radiation Use Licence” issued by Queensland Health – Radiation Health is mandatory.
- Possession of a C-class motor vehicle licence may be required.
