Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Sonographer - Advanced / Radiographer-Sonographer - Advanced to join the team within Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Townsville University Hospital on a Permanent part-time basis 60 hours p.f. Provide five-day-a-week access to our mothers and babies, increasing our expert clinical support and management, and saving families from expensive and disruptive travel to southern climes. |

- Salary range: $73.12 to $76.30 p.h. (HP5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
- Provide a patient-centred and evidence based clinical service focus.
- Advanced clinical ultrasound expertise to the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) service and significant clinical leadership that is recognised at the clinical service level.
- HP5 sonographer roles in the MFM unit involve elements of clinical, education and research focus, in delivering ultrasound services at the Townsville Univerity Hospital. Duties are performed through the fully independent application of clinical expertise and use of advanced or novel techniques.
Requirements:
- Qualifications recognised by Australian Sonographer Accredited Register (ASAR)
- Post Graduate Qualification in Ultrasound or
- An appropriate Degree or Diploma in Sonography (e.g., Diploma/Bachelor of Applied Science) from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Accredited with Australian Sonographer's Accreditation Registry (ASAR). Medical Radiation Professionals (AHPRA):
- If a Radiographer, the applicant must hold a tertiary qualification, in a Medical Radiation profession.
- Hold current registration with MRPBA (AHPRA) - Hold a current Queensland Radiation Use License
- This is a (VPD) risk role.
