- Casual Rate: $52.16 to $57.07 p.h. (Nurse Grade 5)
About your opportunity
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a nurse who is licensed to practice nursing without supervision and who assumes accountability and responsibility for their own actions and acts to rectify unsafe nursing practice and/or professional conduct.
The RN provides direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Extensive experience in Emergency Department and a current Adult Life Support certificate.
- Highly Desirable Adult Life Support certificate: Must obtain and maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per THHSCLI040151 Life Support Training and Assessment procedure.
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
- On-call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
