About the work unit / facility

Charters Towers Health Service is a level 3 (CSCF), non-birthing, 23 bed rural hospital with emergency service and ambulatory services.  Ambulatory services include community health nursing, child health nursing, home care services, midwifery group practice (non-birthing), advanced health worker, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and social work onsite.

About your opportunity

The purpose of this casual position is to a) provide basic domestic cleaning and support services to the frail aged of the community and their carers and / or b) undertake operational support in laundry, catering, cleaning and porterage at the Charters Towers Health Service

Requirements:

  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a motor vehicle requiring possession of a “C” class driver's licence.
  • Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.  Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
