Medical Ward 2, located at the Townsville University Hospital, is a 35-bed acute medical ward within the Medical Service Group, specialising in General Medicine, Rheumatology and Endocrinology. The team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care supported by clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Competitive salary and benefits

Remuneration is at the Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 level: $54.44–$58.30 per hour.

Plus employer superannuation contributions up to 12.75%, annual leave loading of up to 17.5%, and salary packaging options.

About your opportunity

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical care, leadership, and education within Medical Ward 2. You will support nursing staff, contribute to quality improvement, and ensure best practice care across the ward's specialties.

Requirements

  • Mandatory qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
  • This is a VPD risk role requiring vaccination evidence.
  • Applicants must also complete a Declaration of Serious Discipline Action and may be subject to employment screening.
