The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) offers a specialised mental health service for families with children and young people (birth to 18 years) who experience severe and complex mental health problems, and where their needs cannot be met by other services.

- Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
CYMHS provides a comprehensive, recovery-orientated mental health service that aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and their carer networks. Recovery principles are embedded into service delivery, culture and practice, providing consumers and their families, in collaboration with other services, access and referral to a range of interventions that will support and sustain recovery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing.
- Highly Desirable: Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016.
- Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services (MHSG) to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.
- All staff within the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
- Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle. Verification of license must be provided prior to commencement of duty.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
