About the work unit / facility

Medical Ward 5 at Townsville University Hospital is a secure, specialised unit dedicated to the care of patients with delirium and dementia. Located on the ground floor of the ward block, the unit provides a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff. The multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $35.92 – $38.12 per hour (Nurse Grade 3).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

As an Enrolled Nurse in Medical Ward 5, you will provide patient-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, and support safety and quality initiatives. This is a permanent part-time role with negotiable hours.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with AHPRA and practising certificate.
  • Evidence of completion of medication administration and IV therapy modules (highly desirable).
  • Ability to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
  • Compliance with VPD requirements.
  • A probationary period may apply.
