• The Dietitian Nutritionist Senior (Cancer Care) is responsible for the delivery of high-level nutrition and dietetic services to patients of the Cancer Care Services across West Moreton Health (WMH) based at Ipswich Hospital.

About the role

This position is the senior Nutrition and Dietetic clinical position in Cancer Care Services and provides high level clinical advice and support to dietitians across the West Moreton Health Services. The position initiates or contributes to research and service planning relevant to the role as a member of the Nutrition and Dietetics department and the Cancer Services multidisciplinary team.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skills in the provision of clinical cancer care nutrition and dietetic services.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical dietetic services of a complex nature where established, principles, procedures and methods requires some expansion, adaption or modification.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in a range of settings with high level organisational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement quality improvement activities and apply these to improve practice.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and clinical practice supervision to less experienced staff and students.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a resource person on clinical cancer care issues for Nutrition and Dietetic staff across WMH.

 Mandatory Requirements:

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
