As an Administration Officer at Breast Screen you will provide an efficient and effective administration and reception service.

• Temporary Full-time or Part-Time until 31/12/2026

• Temporary part-time until 07/12/2025 (60.8 hours per fortnight)

• Permanent part-time (22.8 hours per fortnight)

About the role

This position provides a high level of administration skills and customer service to the Breast Screen Queensland Ipswich Service.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

•    To provide an effective customer focused service within a confidential working environment with a proven ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment.

•    Ability to work as a team member with a high level of autonomy to manage daily workloads and to achieve the goals of the service and an ability to use initiative to identify opportunities for quality improvement within a team environment and to resolve problems within the requirements of the position.

•    Well-developed written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively interact and negotiate with all levels of staff and the public in accordance with confidentiality guidelines. Proficiency in the application of internal hospital information systems in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel is required with knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from patient medical records and hospital information systems.

•    Is accountable for continuing to motivate themselves to achieve high work standards

Mandatory Requirements:

  • This position may be required to work across the various facilities throughout the West Moreton Health Service catchment – including BSQ Ipswich, BSQ Yamanto, and both mobile screening vans.
  • This position does require some Saturday shifts.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
