About the role
The role delivers advanced clinical services to stakeholders/consumers of the integrated HITH service. This role provides high level clinical leadership to the HITH multidisciplinary Allied Health team and to the relevant profession clinicians.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Independently provide advanced acute, sub-acute and post-acute clinical services in a community setting to complex clients with varied acute and subacute conditions. This includes clients with cardio-pulmonary, surgical, neurological, aged related and multimorbid conditions.
- Provide clinical supervision and education to less profession aligned clinicians, Allied Health Assistants, and students to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure effective cooperation within and across work unit/s to enhance service delivery, quality outcomes and/or clinical services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to apply contemporary advanced-level knowledge, and skills for complex cases across acute inpatients in one or more areas of clinical practice in the relevant discipline.
- Ability to provide clinical practice supervision and performance management to the relevant discipline clinicians, students, and operational workforce.
- Ability to lead quality and service improvement activities that result in improved outcomes for clients, services, and/or the organisation.
- High level written communication skills, as well as the ability to influence and lead a multidisciplinary team with effective interpersonal, negotiation and conciliation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other Allied Health leaders, Professional Leads and operational managers across disciplines and service groups to support West Moreton Health in achieving its aims and objectives.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
