About the role
Provide a professional and courteous switchboard service to staff and customers of the hospital, ensuring appropriate action and response within suitable timeframes. Switchboard Administration officers are required to work a rotating roster that covers 24 hours per day, seven days per week inclusive of public holidays.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to exercise personal judgement and initiative in the provision of efficient telecommunication services, including problem resolution and emergent response.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of general office and reception duties, preferably within a Health Care environment.
- Ability to maintain discretion and exercise judgment where necessary to resolve problems within the scope of the role in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and effectively establish and foster networks across the facility to assist in streamlining daily processes.
- Proficiency in the application of computerised information systems and applications including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, supporting and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
