About the role

The role of Senior Administration Officer - Prison and Youth Detention Health Services will coordinate and manage the delivery of a client focussed administration service within Prison and Youth Detention Health Services.  This position will provide a professional and human resource reporting line for Prison and Youth Detention Health Services administrative staff.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated expertise in management of an administrative environment including the capacity to supervise and support staff as required.
  • Demonstrated highly developed administration skills including utilisation of contemporary information technology systems,
  • Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, staff at all levels and patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to plan, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and be adaptable in a team work environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a motor vehicle, therefore an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be produced before commencement of duties.
