About the role
This position will provide a professional and human resource reporting line for the administrative staff at Ripley facilities.
Some of the key accountabilities of the role are:
- Provide leadership to the administrative staff across the divisions, ensuring a responsive service that meets the needs of the division and patients.
- Supervise administration staff including responsibilities for administrative practices, safe staff rostering and leave management, payroll requirements, performance planning and coordination of identified training needs as required.
- Monitor and review administrative staff workload and delegate work appropriately as well as attending compulsory meetings and training to disseminate information within the are
- Provide training and support including but not limited to: revenue, private conversions, supporting billing processes to comply with all legislative requirements, complete Patient Election Forms (PEF) with patients, standard admission requirements and the on-boarding of new staff.
- Manage and lead recruitment processes to ensure the administration establishment is at the full complement.
- Undertake regular quality audits to ensure data accuracy and review, develop and implement streamlined administrative processes.
- Ability to communicate and problem-solve at a high level within a confidential environment as well as ongoing consultation with key stakeholders within the units e.g. senior Clinicians, nursing staff and department Directors within agreed timeframes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Expertise in management of an administrative environment including the capacity to supervise and support staff as required.
- Highly developed administration skills including utilisation of contemporary information technology systems.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, staff at all levels and patients.
- Ability to work autonomously to plan, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and be adaptable in a teamwork environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
