You'll lead key advisory groups, including the Consumer and Community Advisory Council (CCAC), Youth Advisory Council (YAC), and support the First Nations Consumer and Community Advisory Council (FNCAC), giving every group a meaningful voice and a seat at the table.
You'll also partner with staff across our health service to embed best-practice engagement, build capability, and turn lived experience into lasting change.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of care in one of Queensland's fastest-growing regions and be supported by a high-performing, purpose-driven team every step of the way.
What you'll be doing:
• Deliver and evaluate the West Moreton Health Consumer and Community Engagement Strategy.
• Coordinate our Consumer and Community Advisory Council (CCAC), Youth Advisory Council (YAC), and support the First Nations Consumer and Community Advisory Council (FNCAC).
• Champion consumer voice across service design, planning and improvement.
• Lead inclusive engagement that reflects our region's diversity including rural, culturally diverse and First Nations communities.
• Develop high-impact content, reports and presentations that reflect engagement outcomes.
• Equip and support staff to confidently deliver engagement aligned to our strategic priorities.
• Use data and digital tools to improve engagement reach, access and effectiveness.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Contemporary engagement expertise, with in-depth knowledge of best practice consumer, community and stakeholder engagement including digital, co-design and inclusive approaches that drive meaningful outcomes.
- Strong strategic, analytical and project delivery skills, with the ability to plan and implement complex engagement initiatives, apply evidence and insights, and balance competing priorities to deliver on time and with impact.
- Ability to build trusted partnerships and collaborate effectively with consumers, community members, First Nations peoples, clinicians, and a broad range of stakeholders across government and non-government sectors.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse audiences across print and digital platforms, and prepare clear briefs, reports and presentations.
- Proven facilitation and coaching capability, with the ability to lead workshops and advisory groups, build staff capability in engagement, and create culturally safe, inclusive spaces for participation and co-design.
