In this permanent full-time role you will contribute to the daily operations of the Health Information Management Service by accurately tracking medical records and clinical documentation.

About the role

Provide general administrative and systems support to ensure the accurate retrieval, storage, filing and transport of confidential patient clinical records to support our clinical workforce in providing quality patient care.

About you

Your success in this role will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge, and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘About this role', the ideal person for this role will be someone who can demonstrate the following: 

  • Acute attention to detail in the provision of clinical documentation and medical records to ensure patient information is provided within the allocated performance indicators.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and an understanding of teamwork skills and professional communication techniques. This includes the ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, support and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in processing urgent and non-urgent requests to ensure timely continuity of patient care and funding reimbursement in a health care environment.
  • Capability to undertake the physical aspects of the role including ward rounds, filing of patient records, retrieval of patient records and culling of patient records.
  • Ability to understand and anticipate consumer service requirements whilst applying the West Moreton Health mission and values.
