About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality, accountable, consumer focused Social Work service to consumers within Forensic and Secure Services. There is an expectation the role will work within the variety of program areas in Forensic and Secure Services
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to provide consumer focussed discipline specific as well as interdisciplinary clinical services including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Ability to apply recovery principles in a manner consistent with social work values and practice standards in the context of forensic inpatient setting.
- Ability to maintain respect for others, remaining flexible, fair and willing to compromise when dealing with team members.
- Ability to articulate a social work perspective and the priorities for assessment and intervention in the context of the multidisciplinary team.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- The successful applicant must have eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and eligibility for membership of the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
