About the role
The Enrolled Nurse Advance Skills supports excellence in nursing care and patient outcomes. Provides competent primary best practice nursing care to an advanced level, incorporating all aspects of nursing care with added responsibilities including pharmacy, phlebotomy, emergency, and primary care. The enrolled nurse works in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide person and family centred, quality, safe patient care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Contemporary clinical knowledge in the area of primary health care nursing, delivering competent nursing care in complex situations while providing support to other team members. Clinical experience in corrections, primary health care, emergency or rural and remote health would be highly regarded.
- Experience with security issues in a secure program and the ability to apply risk management strategies.
- High level of service delivery to patients demonstrating rapport building skills and listening skills.
- Willing to take instructions and guidance from others and a willingness to help and support others to contribute to the successful functioning of the team.
- Strong self-management skills, a commitment to nursing and the flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes. Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
- A commitment to evidence-based quality processes.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
