About the role

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Advanced clinical knowledge in the area of acute care of oncology, palliative care and medical patients, including the elderly by delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
- Ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
- Ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day-to-day changes.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
