About the role
This Occupational Therapist Senior is responsible for providing a high level of clinical knowledge and skills to ensure effective service delivery within the speciality area of Adolescent and Young Adult care within a secure environment. This role delivers high level profession-specific clinical services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate improved health outcomes for young people by providing access to appropriate and timely screening and diagnostic services across mental, cognitive disability and physical health conditions
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level knowledge and skills to undertake non-routine clinical practice with a broad understanding within continuum of care.
- Ability to provide high level communication in a demanding multidisciplinary team environment with the need for high levels of risk sensitivity and case review.
- Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives, and provide clinical supervision to less experienced practitioners.
- High level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention within the current legislative and policy context of a correctional health service.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
