About the role
This position is responsible for coordinating the flow of patient transportation and cleaning tasks utilising the task management system within Ipswich Hospital. This position supports the Operational Services team by coordinating cleaning, porterage, waste, mortuary, and linen services to meet organisational goals utilising the task management system. This position will liaise with multi-disciplinary team to provide a timely and responsive Operational Service.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Exercise good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills where client liaison and supervisory responsibilities apply.
- Utilise the task management system to coordinate and allocate tasks to staff, ensuring tasks are being completed to the standards required and within agreed designated timeframes and resources.
- Complete regular quality checks by checking anomalies in the task management system and provide reports to the Operational Services Coordinator and Manager.
- Management of daily staff key allocation and assisting in maintaining the daily registers for quality purposes
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Sound knowledge of the task allocation system and ability to prioritise, allocate and monitor tasks according to organisational demand.
- Ability and experience in supervising and providing training and support to the Operational Services team.
- Knowledge and experience working in Operational Services or similar and in the use of appropriate systems, techniques and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various multidisciplinary teams in written, verbal and electronic mediums.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
