About the role

The Dental Prosthetist is a senior level clinician with both a clinical and education focus to the key role within a multi-disciplinary team.

The prosthetist will be a clinical leader with an advanced level of skill, providing specialised clinical advice and services to a number of oral health facilities across the West Moreton area including correctional facilities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships, open communication, and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the relevant standards and processes and actively identifies areas for improvement, planning and acting to resolve issues with an awareness of community needs.
  • Demonstrates advanced planning and coordination in the clinical management of patient care, identifying, anticipating, and prioritising needs and working with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient and unit goals within required timeframes.
  • Demonstrates honest, integrity and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge, expertise, and skills in complex contemporary Dental Prosthetic clinical practice standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical advice and consultation on complex clinical matters across multiple facilities for Dental Prosthetic services.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia - AHPRA. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
