These services include Antenatal, Gynaecology, Colposcopy, and Obstetric Medicine. ANC operates Monday to Friday from 0800hrs to 1630hrs across six client-facing sites – Goodna Community Centre, Redbank Community Centre, Springfield YMCA, Laidley Hospital, Ripley Satellite Clinic, and Ipswich Hospital.

About the role
The Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill (NRG4) supports nursing care and patient outcomes, optimising access to care services. The Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill works in partnership with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide person and family centred, quality, safe patient care, practicing predominately with indirect supervision of the Registered/Clinical Nurse. If required, the Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill will seek assistance and support in decision-making from a Registered/Clinical Nurse.
The Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill within the Antenatal/Gynaecology Clinic Ambulatory Care coordinates essential clinics and works within the MDT in the provision of patient centred care as specified by standards of practice and registration requirements from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). This is evidenced by educational preparation, continuing professional development, adhering to relevant legislation and the context of care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver quality nursing care, whilst working within a risk management framework and in accordance with professional standards.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to a high standard and effectively engage with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors whilst displaying a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others and self to a high standard.
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence-based practices, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to these improvements.
- Demonstrated knowledge or demonstration of research into the processes that govern the clinics, while delivering expert nursing care and providing support to other team members.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
