About the role
Delivers high level social work specific clinical services in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation of adult consumers within a specialist, state-wide forensic service setting.
Works collaboratively with a range of disciplines to engage with consumers transitioning from the High Security Inpatient Service to provide ongoing assessment and support in a manner consistent with treatment plans.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills to undertake non-routine clinical social work practice with a broad understanding within continuum of care in the context of Forensic and Secure Services.
- Demonstrated high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention in the context of mental health services.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to provide clinical leadership and advice to multidisciplinary teams and to develop partnerships in service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to less experienced practitioners.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of Social Work qualification and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
