About the role

The purpose of this role is to order, receive, receipt, store and manage food supplies within the Food Service Department at Ipswich Hospital.  This role must adhere to Food Safety requirements and regulations to ensure that patient, staff and other customers are served appropriate meals.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrates a team focus through working with others to complete tasks within the allocated time frames. Ability to interact and discuss issues openly within peers and with management.
  • Stives to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates accuracy, precision and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety.
  • The ability to set up and interpret a food safety program.
  • Ability to understand ordering policy and procedures as required by Queensland Health
