About the role
The primary purpose of the role of Human Resource (HR) Officer is to proactively deliver a range of front-line HR activities across the West Moreton Health Service (the Health Service) and to support the internal functionality of the HR Advisory team.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Management of the generic HR inbox/es including the timely and efficient allocation of complex matters to the appropriate HR Advisory team and provide high quality and comprehensive advice to general HR enquiries from across the Health Service.
- Research, analyse and interpret information to provide advice and resolution strategies (written and verbal), for the purpose of provisioning employment framework material to stakeholders on general advice requests.
- Build and sustain partnerships with key stakeholders to facilitate working relationships which improve internal capability and human resource outcomes for the Health Service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives, focusing on streamlining transactional processes for Line Managers with regard to employee entitlements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, the Queensland Health employment framework including legislation, awards, policies, directives and practices and experience in applying this knowledge to provide quality professional advice to employees and line managers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate, negotiate, analyse and advise on HR queries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and a high level of attention to detail maintaining a high quality of output in a time pressured and dynamic environment.
- High level of ability to provide highly efficient and confidential administrative support including meeting scheduling and preparation, monitoring and distribution of correspondence, records management, reporting and coordination of requirements to meet operational deadlines and work priorities.
- High level focus on organisation, prioritisation and management of inboxes and task activity tracking.
