Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) is the independent regulator of worker safety and health in Queensland's mining, quarrying, petroleum, gas and explosives industries.

The Occupational Health (OH) division within RSHQ is seeking an experienced team leader to join our Surveillance and Reporting team in the Health Surveillance Unit.

Your team delivers sector wide surveillance information, used to inform industry about insights and emerging health trends.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis.

Are you an experienced team leader with a passion for data and reporting and delivering operational excellence? If so the role of Senior Project Officer in our Surveillance and Reporting team could be for you.

As a team leader you will guide, motivate and support your team to deliver high quality, sector wide surveillance information to our external stakeholders using a variety of mediums. This information is used to provide insight into the health of resource sector works and is vital in the early identification of trends across the industry.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent leadership and people management capability, including timely performance and workload management.
  • High level experience in the interrogation and reporting of information using a variety of tools and programs such as PowerBi.
  • Well-developed communication and facilitation skills (written and oral) with an ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate leadership to make decisions in a dynamically changing environment.
