    You will join the team to establish the new identity of Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) with the amalgamation of the Volunteer Marine Rescue and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard. There are currently up to 3000 volunteers, and you will grow the team up to approximately 35 employees. The MRQ mission is to provide a state-wide boating safety network, able to respond to blue water situations, educate the boating public, and contribute to their unique skills to support emergency service agencies during disaster and emergency events, and other organisations for routine tasks. You will lead the Regional Support Centre and have a small team working around you to support and guide the MRQ volunteers in your region.
