    The Senior Case Manager (Identified) is based in a district office/reporting centre and reports to the District Manager. The position ensures a high level of community safety through the case management of adults subject to orders within the community. The position acts in accordance with assessed risk and need and maintains high standards of assessment practices that facilitate effective supervision, and improved reintegration and rehabilitation of individuals subject to community-based orders.

    The position is responsible for consulting with relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations to assist in closing the gap of Indigenous over-representation within the criminal justice system. The position will also support the management team in the region by acting as coach and mentor to team members undertaking probation and parole case management.

    Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements
    Possession of tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, education or behavioural sciences
    Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional association will be highly regarded
    PDO specialising in the delivery of sexual offending programs you will be provided with training in the use of relevant assessment tools (STATIC-99 and STABLE-2000) to allocate sex offenders to appropriate treatment

    You will be required to have experience or the ability to deliver of group-based behavioural change programs & further experience in a practice supervision model, both as supervisee and preferably, supervisor with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and encourage others to meet the challenges of demanding work roles.

    Finally, you will be required to promote the value of offender programs through effective collaboration with internal and external professional networks
