This advertisement is for teachers to join the French Bilingual Program at either Tingalpa State School or Whites Hill State College.
In 2015, Tingalpa State School commenced a French Australian Bilingual Program, focusing on providing excellent teaching and learning environments which allow children to achieve academic success and develop positive social and emotional skills. Students use the languages of English and French while also developing cultural understanding of Francophone communities.
We are seeking a passionate, experienced and innovative teacher to join the French Australian Bilingual Program for the start of the 2025 school year on January 23. The successful applicant would be required to demonstrate effective classroom management, deliver engaging curriculum to primary school-aged students and work collaboratively with the year level team and the French Bilingual team. The successful applicant would be able to provide differentiated teaching and learning opportunities to cater for all student needs.
Tingalpa and Whites Hill State College provide professional development opportunities with high performing collaborative teams. Tingalpa State School is accredited with AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad - Agence pour l'enseignement Français a l'Etranger) which provides opportunities for learning in relation to the French curriculum.
The school is accredited with AEFE (The Agency for French Education Abroad - Agence pour l'enseignement français à l'étranger) which provides opportunities for professional learning in relation to the French curriculum.
It would be advantageous to applicants if they:
- Have experience teaching French in a Primary School
- Are fluent in both French and English languages
- Are able to work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. For more information regarding registration requirements, please CLICK HERE
- Teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
- Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department
