*Rural and Remote Housing Incentive Scheme (RRHIS) - Eligible participants include newly appointed or transferring teachers and school leaders commencing their tenure at designated state schools. Permission to Teach and department interns (Trade to Teach and Turn to Teaching) are eligible. You are not eligible if you already reside within 50 minutes of an eligible school (listed with an * in this advertisment). The scheme includes provisions for initial temporary accommodation paid upfront by the department, followed by a taxable rental allowance aligned with the teacher's weekly rent expenses. While availability of department-provided teacher housing is prioritised, alternative accommodation solutions through the rental market are facilitated where necessary and available.

Applicants for these positions must possess:

• Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. • Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
• Working rights in Australia, which means you have, or you are eligible to obtain a valid Australian Visa with work rights (if you're not already an Australian Citizen or resident).
