Permanent full-time role, 76 hours per fortnight.

This role will is responsible for providing advanced leadership in the provision of education programs and resources relevant to Emergency Care in CSCF Level 1-4 facilities to build clinical and professional expertise and capability within the NWHHS.

        • base salary ranges between $132,562and $143,924 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7).
        • 5 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 17.5% loading
        • 12.75% employer super contribution
        • Isolation bonus - 1 yr $3500, 2 yrs $10,500, 3> yrs $7000
        • 2 x return airfares to *Cairns p.a. with 5 weeks rec leave (+ 17.5% loading)
        • 2 weeks p.a. professional development leave + travel as required
        • Salary sacrificing options are also available.
        • Eligible Health Workers  who make the move to work with us may receive up to $70,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme.

Position location:

Professional Practice Support Unit, Nursing and Midwifery Service, Mount Isa, North West Hospital and Health Service, Queensland.

Role requirements

            • Proof of qualification and current registration with AHPRA is mandatory.
            • Post-graduate qualification in education and/or the specialty clinical area relating to their educational portfolio.
            • Recognised as an instructor in Advanced Life Support (ALS).
            • Experience in triage and/or paediatric emergency care presentations would be highly regarded.
            • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant.
            • VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis.
            • A 6-month probationary period may apply.
