About us:

The Medical/Surgical Ward 1 Unit is located in Block One on the first floor of the Gladstone Hospital. The service offers a total of 31 inpatient beds which cover sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care patients. The Medical/Surgical Ward provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.

About the role:

An Enrolled Nurse position is available within the busy and dynamic Medical/Surgical Ward. This Enrolled Nurse will follow the four guiding values of CQHHS to ensure positive behaviour and performance outcomes. The Enrolled Nurse will perform under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and is responsible for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care within their scope of practice to all patients in the ward. This includes but is not restricted to, Surgical, Medical, Orthopaedic, and Sub-Acute patients.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.

  • Able to demonstrate effective relationships with the range of health professionals involved in providing patient care.
  • Proactively identify and manage patients within the inpatient setting.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $86,259 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.92 - $38.12 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
